Sylvester Nemes is a tier and author who grew up in Cleveland, Ohio as the son of Ukranian immigrants. Syl learned to tie from a local barber in Cleveland. Sylvester has many books available (and some classics no longer available that go for several hundred dollars apiece) and a DVD from which this segment is taken (available for sale as Sylvester Nemes's Softhackles). He has been largely responsible for maintaining if not reinvigorating the popularity of the softhackle. In this video, Syl ties the Tup's Indispensible and explains briefly the origin of the name.
