How Do Fly Shops Price Gear?

| | Comments (0)

flyshop_prices_150.jpgThink fly shops price their gear unfairly? Wonder why there aren't more discounts at your favorite store?

In reality, pricing options are limited for both retailers and manufacturers, especially when it comes to high-ticket items. "Almost nobody gets rich owning a fly shop, so don't go blaming the guy behind the counter if you think his gear is too expensive," says Phil Monahan in this week's Fine Lines column.

By the way, we're adding a commenting option to the bottom of every Fine Lines column from here on out. Be sure to check it out and add your thoughts to the discussion.
