Just as Japanese angler Manabu Kurita's bass is about to be certified as tying George Perry's world record for largemouth bass, Bill Baab's new autobiography about the famed Georgia angler is published by Whitefish Press this month. Baab, the former outdoor editor for the Augusta Chronicle, "traces the life of the man who hauled in the 22-pound, 4-ounce largemouth in 1932 that was certified as the world record for a species that spawned a global, multibillion recreation industry." Rob Pavey writes about the book in this morning's edition.
