Having turned from a dumping ground for mining spoils to one of most used rivers in the state, Montana's Blackfoot River is so popular that some think it's becoming unsightly. "Its day-use popularity has occasionally resulted in drunken traffic jams at boat put-ins, excessive trash dumping, and conflicts over camping and picnicking sites." Now Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is considering rules to limit access and control use by tubers, campers and anglers. Rob Chaney in The Missoulian.
