According to a leading researcher at Oregon State University, rainbow trout are not "cheaper to raise and care for than rodents, and have inherently lower cancer rates, which lessens the margin for error in studies," but they may also have led to the discovery of a way to render Aflatoxin -- a common cause of liver cancer in developing countries -- harmless.
