Donny Beaver Drops Spring Ridge Appeal

Cynics will note that by dropping the appeal, Beaver has prevented a statewide ruling on public access to other "navigable waters," but in the short term those who felt disenfranchised by the Spring Ridge Club are glad the Little Juniata will remain open. "Fishing preserve entrepreneur Donny Beaver has dropped his court case against state agencies, thus closing the book on a lengthy battle over the public's right to fish the Little Juniata River, one of the state's most coveted trout waters." Deborah Weisberg in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
