George Daniel: If You Don't Fail, You're Not Trying

George Daniel, who is by all accounts one of the top competitive fly fishers in the U.S., told graduates of Lock Haven University (Pennsylvania) that life isn't about succeeding at everything. "He also told a story about a former coach’s fly-fishing experience with baseball legend Ted Williams. During that adventure, Daniel said, Williams told the coach that even though the opposition got him out six out of every 10 times he came up to plate, he was still considered one of the best baseball players of all time."
