Cheating Death and Fooling Fish

The arrival of spring caddis means something a little more this year for Bill Edrington, who works at the Royal Gorge Anglers fly-fishing shop in Canon, Colorado. Eight months suffered massive head and body injuries in a motorcycle accident while riding along the Arkansas River. "Bill Edrington - bones healed, head doing just fine, even his beloved Harley repaired - gets to fish his 45th Arkansas River caddis fly hatch. The excitement hasn't dimmed. 'Today is the advent,' he said of the anticipated hatch of the insects that will fill the stomachs of the thousands upon thousands of trout in the river. 'We're on the cusp. They're coming.'" Rick Tosches in the Denver Post.
