Ken Allen observes our tendency to think that the fish of yore -- fish our grandfathers seemed to luck into with regularity -- were monsters of proportion and strength. In fact, his investigation uncovers, sometimes stocked fish grow much larger than wild fish, especially in the case of Maine's landlocked salmon.
