Scented candles, floral arrangements, and brightly colored fish art set a shop like Crab Creek Outfitters in Virginia Beach, Virginia apart from the norm. Owner Ann Nichols is no dilettante, though. She ties flies more furiously than you can imagine. And though they are in short supply, female shop owners are probably on to a good thing: 25 percent of all fishing licenses sold in the U.S. are purchased by women.
