Less biorhythmic than circumstantial, late winter, more than any other time of year, is associated with the peak of the fly tying frenzy. Ed Dentry notes that the perfect opportunity to feed the beast occurs at the annual International Sportsmen's Exposition in Denver, which this year features several great tiers tying their favorite flies, "[f]rom the salt-water flies of Coloradan Pete Parker to ants tied by Jack Dennis and a realistic mouse by Don Ordes, of Fantasy Fly Co. in Casper."
