In what might be considered a "tangential approach" to solving the problem of Yellowstone Park's decreasing cutthroat populations, the park service is proposing rules that ask anglers to kill more rainbow, brown and brook trout. Not only have rainbows and other species entered streams like Slough Creek, but they have begun hybridizing with native populations. Scott McMillion in the Bozeman, Montana Daily Chronicle.
