As many freshwater anglers already know, a huge 17-year cicada brood will be emerging in May or June of this year in the eastern half of the United States. As noted in this USA Today piece by Anita Manning, the last time this brood was seen "Ronald Reagan was president, Three Men and a Baby ruled at the box office and the Twins won their first World Series."
