There are a variety of simple ways to add the MidCurrent daily news to your Web site homepage.
We currently provide our news feed in 3 formats:
http://www.midcurrent.com/news/index.rdf
http://www.midcurrent.com/news/index.xml
http://www.midcurrent.com/news/atom.xml
In order to add our news headlines and excerpts to your site, you will need to use one of two different techniques:
1. The Easy Way: Add 3rd party code which consumes our feed to your page(s). Here are some Web-based which provide the service of generating this code free of charge:
Each of these services (and many others) will allow you to plug one of our XML news feed URLs into a form and provide you with JavaScript code that can be inserted directly into your Web page(s).
2. The More Sophisticated Way: Add server-side scripting to your pages to consume and display the XML entries provided in our feed. The advantages this method are more complete control of formatting and reduced risk that a 3rd-party provider will discontinue service. MidCurrent uses ASP.NET to display its own news feed on the homepage.
